What : Grand Baby Fair
When : January 28, 29, 30, 2011
Where : SM Megatrade Halls 2 and 3

I am actually looking forward to attend the Travel Safety seminar and Cooking Demo. The last time I went to one of Baby Company events, I learned a lot about breastfeeding, received freebies from Avent and learned delicious meals from their cooking demo.

Anyway, my brother's girlfriend will benefit a lot from these seminars especially the Birthing Class. She is 6 months pregnant and they are having a baby boy! Woohoo! Another Pascual in the making. It's still a bit early but I think I'll take advantage of the 30% discount on Avent items for my future nephew.

Anyone going to the baby fair this weekend?

happy birthday offspring!

Our little girl turned two!

It was a simple celebration, just family and some friends. We decided to order in instead of renting a restaurant like we did on her first birthday last year. I think I like it better this way. We celebrated in our own pace and we didn't worry about Offspring making a mess of the place. We ordered Pancit Malabon, pichi-pichi and pork barbeque from Amber, HUGE pizza from Calda, cake from Goldilocks and then my pops surprised us with roasted chicken and ice cream. To make things a bit kid friendly, I made the staple kiddie party food of hotdog + mallows on sticks while MIL made macaroni and fruit salad.

Unfortunately, the day didn't end well like we hoped for. Offspring had a small accident that involved broken glasses and we had to bring her to the emergency room to get her wound thoroughly cleaned. Thank God she didn't need stitches, just a patch of Steri-strip to keep it close and clean.

making new traditions

As DK mentioned, start the year right with an out of town trip. And the perfect day to do just that is the first day of the year. We don't usually wake up early, but in spite of sleeping late we still managed to get up early and hit the road. One and a half hour later we have this view welcoming us:

We had lomi noodles for breakfast earlier that day but DK wanted to experience eating in Mushroomburger so we went further south to Mushroomburger for our early lunch. I love Mushroomburger, there is nothing special with their rice meals but dining there is really something. It so homey and makes me feel like I grew up in the area. It's an experience I want to keep coming back to. Plus eating their burgers is our lame attempt of eating healthy.
